What’s more they currently have a list of nearly 10,000 ingredients commonly found in cosmetic and skin care products and nearly 90% have never been tested for safety!

 

The Partial List of HARMFUL INGREDIENTS!

There are as many harmful ingredients as there are products!

So, to be honest as a researcher, I can only give you a partial list, but this should be enough of a WARNING to get you to stop buying the chemical laden products from drug stores and start making your own 100% natural, no-chemical-added, homemade skin creams, lotions and soaps!

Did you know that these harmful chemicals may be in your skin cream?

• Acne treatments contain the chemical sodium laureth sulphate -- which over dries the skin and over time does more harm to the skin by creating skin that is over-dry and prone to aging. Sodium laureth sulphate has for many years been linked with such medical condition as contact dermatitis, cataracts and early-onset baldness. Plus there is speculation that this synthetic ingredient may be a causative factor in some environmental cancers.

• Parabens, and they act to preserve the commercial products for years on end. This is great in terms of longevity but Parabens have an awful tendency to make skin highly sensitive, and especially to the damaging effects of sunlight. Parabens are also absorbed readily by the skin and traces of them can remain within the body for months after stopping use. (Parabens have been found in the biopsy tissue taken from a number of breast cancer patients!)

• Parabens have the ability to mimic oestrogen, so fooling the body into believing there is a higher concentration of oestrogen than there really is…and high levels of oestrogen have already been linked with an increased risk of breast cancer.

• Propylene glycol is found in just about every type of skin care product on the market, including cleansers, soaps, gels, beauty creams and even makeup. And it's also a key ingredient in - antifreeze, brake fluid and de-icer used on airplanes!

• Phthalates (pronounced thay-lates) are principally used to stabilise and prolong the fragrances associated with skin care products. Strangely they are also used in several other industries to enhance the flexibility of plastics. Again these common synthetic chemicals have been linked to liver damage, kidney problems and poor lung function primarily in women.
